Man charged with fraud, burglary, and theft after alleged home invasion

Posted November 06, 2018 06:01:57 A man who allegedly tried to steal a home in West Palm Beach has been charged with burglary, burglary and theft.

Police said 24-year-old Jaron “J.J.”

Jones was arrested on Wednesday on charges of burglary and burglary and larceny.

Police responded to the home of the owner after receiving a 911 call reporting a possible home invasion.

Police said Jones allegedly entered the home with a crowbar and threatened to kill himself if the homeowner did not remove his dog.

The homeowner then fled, and Jones ran away after police caught up to him, police said.

Jones was arrested after officers located the crowbar, which was used to cut holes in the wall of the home.

Jones is being held on a $250,000 bond.
